- Beauty And The Beast movie becomes controversial because there is some sensitive issue such as the exclusive Gay moment appear in the movie.The moment is modification ofa character named LeFou who just a minor character in the animation being a hot topic in news recently. The topic is the character's sex orientation. The type of this research is intrepretive qualitative using Roland Barthes semiotics analysis, that is Two Order of Signification. The researcher focuses on two elements, these are audio and visual. According to audio, researcher concentrates on dialogue. Moreover, in Visual element, researcher focuses on setting, gesture, and colour. The result of this research showed that the representation of Gay's symbol in the movie is from colour and gesture. Purple in the LeFou's clothes represent colour of gay's pride. Then, the gestures such pinkies, eyes contact, sit down side by side, and hugging are LeFou's ways to show his attraction to the men.
