- Humans are social beings so behavior is cyberbullying very disturbing and has many negative effects. Cyberbullying begins with the intention or is called the intention of cyberbullying. The intention of cyberbullying is indicated by emotional intelligence. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on intention cyberbullying in adolescent social media users. This research was a quantitative correlation study, the subjects in this study were 165 and the sampling technique was purposive sampling. The instrument used was the scale of emotional intelligence and the scale of intention cyberbullying. The results showed there was an influence of emotional intelligence on intention cyberbullying in adolescents with negative directions. This was indicated by the values ( r2= 0.134 and p = 0.000 <0.05).
