- The way how to resolve hardship in poverty is by increasing the resilience ability. The resilience ability is a process, in which it involves the internal protective factor and external protective factor. One of external protective factor is family support. The purpose of this study was to find out the correlation between family support and resilience in the adolescent of poor family. This study used correlational design, of which design used the correlation analysis and linear regression by using family support scale and resilience scale. The total of subjects were 210 adolescent from the poor family, in which it used convenience sampling technique. The final result of this research showed that the family support had positive correlation and significance towards the resilience. The contribution of family support which was given in resilience of this study was 11,4% and the rest were obtained from the other factors.
