  • Background : The increase of infection due to the fungus, create a lot of research to get antifungal drugs that can be used to reduce that cases. “Treatment with nature” was one of ways to reduce synthetic antifungal medications that have side effects. In the previous research, Limonia acidissima’s pulp contain chemical compounds such as alkaloids, saponins, tannins, triterpenoids, and flavonoids, those can inhibit the growth of mold. Objective : The objective of this study is to get inhibitory zone of Limonia acidissima’s pulp against Candida albicans and also to know the group of chemical compounds that contained in the ethanol fraction. Method : Limonia acidissima’s pulp powder that was extracted with n-hexane and ethyl acetate, extracted using maceration method with ethanol as polar solvent. Antifungal activity was determined using a disk diffusion method. Result and Discussion : The result of disk diffusion test of ethanol fraction of Limonia acidissima’s pulp didn’t provide any inhibition zone diameter at every concentrations 12,5 mg/disk, 15 mg/disk, and 17,5 mg/disk. The chemical compound of Limonia acidissima’s pulp identified with thin layer chromatography method and obtained alkaloids, terpenoids, and anthraquinones, at salkowski test and foam test obtained saponins.
