  • Bay leaves extract is pressumed to have an ability in speeding up of incission wound healing process. The purpose of this research was to find out the effect various concentration of bay leaves extract towards the incission wound healing of white rats. This research was True Experimental Research which used Posttest Only Control Design. The trial design of this research was The Complete Random Design. This research used six treatments, of which treatments were negative control (without treatment), positive control (povidone iodine), and also the bay leaves extract with various concentrations it 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%. The parameters of wound healing observed were the decreasing of wound length, the loss of erythema, edema, granulation, and also the closed wound. The data analysis techniques used, were the One-Way Analysis and Duncan Test. The results of this research showed that there was significant difference among various bay leaves extract treatments towards incission wound healing of the white rats. The optimal treatment with concentration of 20%, in which the length time of incission wound closed was eight days, the loss of erythema was five days, the loss of edema was five days, the loss of granulation was six days, and the perfect closed wound was eight days. The research results can be used as the source for biology learning on the 10th grade of Senior High School, especially in the material of various level of biodiversity in Indonesia on Basic Competence (KD) 4.2.
