- This emphasis on research on the utilization of sugar cane pulp fibre as a substitute alternative materials metal materials. The use of sugar cane pulp fibers aiming to find out the influence of the variation of the volume fraction using resin polyester yukalac BTQN 157-EX. In this study using a variation of the volume fraction of 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% by testing the impact of model JB-300. Test results from the impact showed the highest impact price obtained on composite fiber volume fraction with 40% by value of 0.081 Joule/mm2. Whereas the price obtained at the lowest impact composite with fiber volume fraction of 10% by value of 0.042 Joule/mm2, and absorbed energy obtained obtained with the highest price i.e. 11.2 Joules on volume fraction of fiber 40%, while energy absorbency low fiber volume fraction on obtained 10% with the energy absorbency 6.7 joules. Increment the volume fraction of fiber give influence on the impact toughness of composite properties where the fiber composition of the more then its impact the greater toughness.
