  • Python reticulatus snake is a reptile from order squamata non venomous has an attractive pattern and easy adaptability makes this reptile one of the pets with the aim of preserving it. Python reticulatus is included in the animal category Appendix II (CITES) so that it needs attention, especially in the health of these animals for their preservation. The obstacle faced by snake keepers is the problem of ectoparasites which is detrimental and has received little attention. The purpose of this study was to explore ectoparasites found in pythons (Python reticulatus) in the Malang Reptile Addict Community as a source of learning biology. This research uses descriptive method using purposive sampling technique. The procedure of this study was divided into 3 stages: ectoparasite collection, ectoparasite identification and preparation of preparations using the Wholemount animal method to determine the morphological structure of ectoparasites that had been previously identified. The results showed that a total of 145 ectoparasites were found, the most dominant area found in the snake body part was 60 in Python reticulatus Java and 30 phyton reticulatus albino. Identification of ectoparasites found in Python reticulatus snakes, namely mite genus ectoparasites Ophionyssus sp. The results of this study can be used as a source of biology learning at the eleventh grade level of high school biodiversity in the form of Student Worksheets (LKPD).
