- This study uses a type of comparative descriptive using a quantitative approach and data collection is done through questionnaires, observation and documentation. This study is focused on describing the conditions and analyzing the causes and effects of the level of income and employment in surrounding communities with different periods of time. Sampling uses stratified random samples with the aim of being able to see more closely the impact given to each 4 of activity, then found 58 respondents divided into 3 types of activities, namely: lodging or homestay business for 11 respondents, trading business at 38 respondents and service business amounting to 9 respondents. The results of the study show that the existence of Pujon Kidul Tourism Village has a positive impact to employment and income levels in the surrounding community. It can be seen from the average income of the community which grow up about 140.02 percent and the opening of new jobs through the concept of empowering the community of Pujon Kidul by the government of Pujon Kidul Village. The concept of empowering the Pujon Kidul community is the main cause of the opening of new jobs and increasing income of the surrounding community. the concept of the community empowerment that is packaged in Tourism Village is a new inovation that needs to be developed in villages to resolved unemployment and poverty levels in every smaller lini.
