UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIJAMUR FRAKSI n-HEKSANA KULIT BUAH Citrus reticulata PADA JAMUR Candida Albicans (Studi Terhadap Jamur Candida albicans Dengan Metode Difusi Cakram)
Daftar Isi:
- Background: Citrus reticulata peel fruit n-hexane fraction is proved to inhibit the growth of Candida albicans fungus, the compounds responsible for antifungal activity are alkaloid, flavonoids, polyphenols, and anthraquinone. Objective: The objective of this study was to look at the inhibitory zone of the Citrus reticulata fruit peel n-hexane fraction on the growth of Candida albicans fungus with various concentrations and find out what compounds are found in the n-hexane fraction of pell citrus reticulata fruit. Methods: Antifungal activity test was performed using a disk diffusion method. The n-hexane fraction used in this study was obtained from previous studies. Furthermore, the antifungal activity test was performed. the concentration of fraction of n-hexane used 1600 μg/disk; 3200 μg/disk; 6400 μg/disk. The disc containing test solution, negative control and positive control were placed on the plate containing Candida albicans and SDA media, then incubated at 37oC for 24 hours and the clear zone formed was measured in diameter. Results and Conclusions: The results of secondary metabolid identification in previous studies showed pharkation of n-hexane Citrus reticulata fruit buds containing flavonoids, alkaloids, polyphenols and anthrons. Results of antifungal activity of inhibitory zone diameter with concentration of 1600 μg/disk; 3200 μg/disk; 6400 μg/disk is 10,42 mm, 11,41 mm, 14,63 mm. These results show the fracture of n-hexane skin of citrus reticulata can inhibit the growth of Candida albicans fungus seen from the clear zone around the blank disk.
