  • Background: Parasite tea (Scurulla atropurpurea (BL.) Dans.) is one of the parasite plants used for traditional herbs. The content in tea parasites may be the same as the tea, one of which is quercetin. Quercetin is one of the flavonoid compounds, the largest flavonol derivative which has 3 rings with 5 hydroxy groups. Purpose: This study aimed to scientifically prove (Scurulla atropurpurea (BL.) Dans.) containing quercetin and the percentage of quercetin in tea parasites obtained from Wonosari Tea Farm, Singosari sub districts using UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. Method: Research analyzing quercetin is done using UV-Vis spectrofotometry method to know absorbance absorbance of sample and maximum wavelength. The result of the absorbance absorption data is used to determine the linearity in the standard curve graph then can be known r arithmetic and r table. So the absorbance absorbance data in the sample can be used to know the percentage of quercetin content. Then the result of the quercetin content is used to calculate the average of quercetin level, standard deviation and KV. Results and Conclusions: From the calculation of linearity regression of working standard solution obtained regression equation: y = 0,0745 x - 0,0151 with r count = 0,9990 and r table (n = 5, 5%) that is 0,878. These results show that there is a linear relationship between absorbance and quercetin content. It shows the level of quercetin in the sample with an average of 3.39% quercetin content.
