PENGARUH KOMBINASI CORE STABILITY EXERCISE DAN JALAN TANDEM TERHADAP PENURUNAN RESIKO JATUH PADA LANSIA DI POSYANDU LANSIA JUNREJO KOTA BATU

- Background: Falls are often encountered towards elderly. Fall risk is increasing in line with elderly age. An increase in the age is causing reduction on health, body resistant, coordination, muscle strength and posture change, therefore elderly is susceptible on falling risk. In addition, fall in elderly is influenced by intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Fall in elderly can be causing various types of injuries, physical and psychological damage. Aim: This research is aimed to identify the influence of combination between core stability exercise and tandem stance exercise in reducing the fall risk in elderly on Posyandu Lansia of Junrejo Kota Batu. Research Method: This research is using pre-experimental design with one group pretest post-test design. The sample of this research is Posyandu Lansia members on Junrejo that involves 35 respondents by using purposive sampling in the sample collection technique and using research instrument “Berg Balance Scale” for measuring the fall risk in elderly. Result: Data processing and analysis in this research apply shapiro-wilk and paired t-test by using SPSS program. The result based on the calculation is showing that there is influence on the combination of core stability exercise and tandem stance exercise in reducing fall risk in elderly with probability value sig 2 tailed 0.000<0.05, thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Conclusion: There is influence on the combination between core stability exercise and tandem stance exercise in reducing fall risk in elderly on Posyandu Lansia of Junrejo Kota Batu.
