- This research entitled "Tourism Development Strategy based on Local Wisdom in West Nusa Tenggara Province”. The purpose of this research is to know the general condition of tourism and local wisdom in NTB, to know contribution of tourism sector to economic growth in NTB and to know strategy of tourism development based on local wisdom in NTB. This type of research is descriptive quantitative which is analyzed using SWOT analysis. The results is scaled numbers, then analyzed using IFAS matrix, EFAS matrix, SWOT matrix and IE matrix. The results of this research can be concluded that the right strategy for the tourism development in NTB is one of them is a WO (Weakness-Opportunity) strategy that more creative and varied promotion to be more widespread especially for Sumbawa island. Because NTB is on the growing conditions and develop table, so that the most important thing is to increase the promotion ofown tourism products.
