  • Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) is a unique carnivorous species based on taxonomy and also is categorized as omnivorous animals based on its feed. The purpose of this present study was to determine the characteristics of habitat and types of potential civet feed in the BKPHP Tambora area, Pekat District. The method of data collection in this study was literature studies and vegetation analysis. Based on the results of this present study, the researcher found 2 civets. In addition, the researcher also found the civet’s dirtying at 9 coordinate points in the area of 2 Ha. In Mount Tambora, there are ten types of plants that could be civet’s feed. The edible parts include leaves, flowers, and fruit. The more potential type of feed is Schoutenia ovata (walukukun) with the value of the Important Index at the tree level reached 190.46%, at the level of INP pole 146.9%, while at the stake level the value of INP is 83.33% compared to other plants.
