  • The diesel engine is a combustion engine with combustion system using the heat of compression to create the ignition and burn fuel that has been injected into the combustion chamber. Machine is the main component as a driver of a vehicle, the engine is designed in such a way to be able to move all of the components that function to run the vehicle. To create a vehicle with a large force required large volume of a cylinder capacity, to obtain a large torque in standard diesel engines need some modification in diesel engine components, in this study are in the modification is in part Crank offset. This modification aims at increasing the length of step (stroke), so that the power and torque produced greater. in this modification Crank Offset length of 27.4 mm in length and has a 54.8 mm steps it will produce the data: the volume of a cylinder = 210.8 cc Compression ratio = 22.8: 1, power = 2.86 HP, and torque 6.8 N / m.
