- Domestic violence has been regulated in Law No.23 of 2004 on the Elimination of Domestic Violence, domestic violence that occurred in Surabaya is still very high, domestic violence has the potential to have a negative impact on the lives of victims in socializing, to date In Indonesia, it can be concluded that more women are victims of domestic violence both sexual, physical and psychological violence. The study discusses the problem of how the legal protection of a husband or wife who becomes a victim in Surabaya polrestabes and how the eradication of violence in the husbands 'or wives' households who are victims of violence in the household in Surabaya police, the approach method in this study uses a Sociological Juridical approach. Primary data sources are obtained from the field and secondary data sources are obtained from legislation and data collection techniques in the form of interviews. Then the research data was analyzed qualitatively qualitative. Then the research data was analyzed qualitatively qualitative. From the discussion and research related to the form of legal protection of the husband as a victim or otherwise found a difference when reporting between the husband as a victim and his wife as a victim, in the process of investigation conducted by Surabaya polrestabes law enforcers there is actually no difference between investigating a husband as a victim and wife as the victim, the second is the effort to overcome domestic violence by his wife or vice versa by socializing, educating, and the existence of a sambang program for countermeasures before they occur, as for coping with efforts that occur so that there is no longer any way to deal with this. also must report so that the victim can still be monitored and so that the perpetrator can change into a better one. With the above methods in the effort to overcome domestic violence it is very strategic to reduce the crime of violence in domestic violence in Surabaya.
