- Induction motors are the most widely used motors in industry and in households. The difficulty of controlling the speed of an induction motor is one of the problems that arise in controlling the speed. In regulating the induction motor speed required flux and maximum torque value that is always constant, by keeping the value of the stator voltage to frequency. Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) is one of the controlling motors are used to regulate the speed of an induction motor. Genetic Algorithm (GA) is a method used in PID control to search and determination of the parameters in the control system. In this study used source h-bridge cascaded multilevel inverter with Alternate triggering technique Phase Opposition Disposition (APOD) on GA PID control method. Value parameters resulting from the method of GA was 3.9241, 1.8339, and 0 for the value parameter Kp, Ki, and Kd .. Results repon the resulting motor speed is 0.32% to overshoot and settling timenya is 0.32s. Therefore, the motor speed control with PID-GA is already running optimally with a small overshoot reduction, and the motor speed remains at the reference given even though no change in the applied load.
