- This study aimed to increase the motivation and knowledge of junior high school and learning students with CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) in mathematics learning. This research was the type of classroom action research using two cycles, the research subject was class VII B which was directed at 29 students. Data collection techniques, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the study found their own freedom and confidence as a result of cycles I and II, motivation was 60.00 in a good enough information and 78.75 in a good information, self-confidence amounted to 61.54 with good enough names and 80.75 in a very good description. As well as the results of finding motivation and self-confidence based on questionnaires from cycles I and II, motivation amounted to 68.48 in a good enough information and 81.24 in a very good information, self-confidence amounted to 67.86 with good enough information and 80. 46 in a very good description. From this study, it was concluded that the application of the CIRC learning model can increase motivation and confidence in learning mathematics.
