Pengaruh Pemberian Gel Ekstrak Daun Kenikir (Cosmos caudatus) terhadap Sel Fibroblas dan Mononuklear pada Luka Eksisi Tikus Putih Jantan (Rattusnovergicus strain wistar)

- Background: Excision is an open wounds which one of three most common injury in Indonesia with 23,2%. The inappropriate wound healing can lead to chronic wound and increase the infection risk. Kenikir (Cosmos caudatus) can use as anti-inflamation and anti-bacterial that help wound healing. Objective: To determine the effect of kenikir leaves gel extract on fibroblast and mononuclear cell of excision wound healing in white rat Methods: True experimental with post test only control group design. Experimentally-wounded rat were devided into 4 groups, control (treated with basic gel) and kenikir gel-treated (in 50%, 67%, & 80% doses). Each groups consisted of 6 rats and treated for 2 weeks. Healing tissue was collected on day 7 post-wounding for histology studies with HE staining and was observed under a microscope (400x) with pathology anatomy supervisor guidance. Datas were analysed using MANOVA, post hoc Bonferroni and pearson correlation. Results and discussion: The result of analysis test indicated that kenikir (cosmos caudatus) leaves gel extract have significant effect on fibroblast and mononuclear cell in general and each variabel (p<0.05). Conclusion: Kenikir leaves gel extract could increasing fibroblast cell and decreasing mononuclear cell in excision wound healing
