  • Background : Osteoarthritis of knee is the most frequent arthritis encountered on the elderly, which has a major contribution on elderly’s disability. Osteoarthritis of knee is degenerative which is caused by the disintegration of cartilage be accompanied with inflammation, pain, joint and muscle stiffness that cause ROM limitation Aim : This research is aimed to compare the effect of kinesiotaping application and combination myofascial release and kinesiotaping application on increasing Range of Motion (ROM) in the elderly with osteoarthritis of the knee in Puskesmas Kendal Kerep Method : The research design was employing quasi-experimental with non-equivalent group design approach. The sample of this research is 25 people by using purposive sampling, then divided into 2 groups with 3 times treatment a week during a month. The group with kinesiotaping is control group with 14 samples, and the group with combination myofascial release and kinesiotaping application is case group with 11 samples. Furthermore, the data is analyzed by using Shapiro-wilk, Wilcoxon ranked test, and Mann-Whitneyy test with SPSS 25. Result : The comparison test result shows the value sig.2 tailed 0,6 < 0,05, therefore, H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted. The interpretation of the result is there is no significant between the effect of kinesiotaping application and combination myofascial release and kinesiotaping application on increasing ROM in the elderly with osteoarthritis of the knee Conclusion : This research shows that there is no significant effect of combination myofascial release and kinesiotaping application on increasing ROM in the elderly with osteoarthritis of the knee in Puskesmas Kendal Kerep
