PENGARUH TABATA WORKOUT TERHADAP FREKUENSI DENYUT ISTIRAHAT PADA MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI FISIOTERAPI UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH MALANG

- Background: Tabata Workout was a exercise with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) protocols that combine high intensity exercise for 20 seconds and low intensity exercise for 10 seconds. Tabata Workout aims to decrease resting heart rate frequency for reduce of heart used and also cardiorespiratory endurance. Methods: Design in this reseach used quasi experimental with non equivalent group design approach. Respondents in this research was 60 person with purposive sampling technique and divided into two groups that intervention group which requested do Tabata Workout and control group without intervention, however in the middle of research 1 respondent was drop out. Data analysis used software SPSS 20 with normality test Kolmogorov Smirnov and hypotesis test T Independent. Result: The difference of resting heart rate frequency intervention Tabata Workout from means 76,79 bpm decrease to 70,17 bpm, with Independent T Test 4,050 ≥ ttable (2,20047). Conclusion: Based on the research data, that was effect of Tabata Workout for resting heart rate at student of Physiotherapy Major Univesity Muhammadiyah Malang.
