- Batu is known as the biggest potato producer in East Java. During this time, the productivity of potatoes in Batu averaged 20 tons / ha. With Madisu AP4, farmers can produce 25 tons to 35 tons / ha. Rudy Madiyanto researched and crossed various types of potatoes to get new varieties. The result is a new Madisu AP4 potato variety, which is resistant to leaf blight and bacterial wilt during the rainy season. Its productivity is not inferior to imported potato seeds. Madisu AP4 is also more resitant or not susceptible to disease. The research objective was to analyze the comparison of costs and income between Madisu AP4 potato farming with Granola in Sumber Brantas Village, Bumiaji Subdistrict, Batu City. 2. To analyze the feasibility of potato cultivation of Madisu AP4 variety with Granola in Sumber Brantas Village, Bumiaji Subdistrict, Batu City. This research was conducted in Sumber Brantas village, Bumiaji Subdistrict, Batu City, with the object of research of farmers using Madisu AP4 and Granola varieties of potato seeds. Data analysis methods were cost analysis (TC) income (TR), R / C ratio and t test test analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the average ratio of costs and farm production income for potato seeds of Madisu AP4 and Granola varieties was different. The results of the analysis using t-test showed that there was no difference in the amount of costs between farmers who used potato seeds of Madisu AP4 and Granola varieties
