- Non-compliance is an attitude where patients are not disciplined or not maximally in the conduct of treatment, this is a serious problem and often occurs in patients with chronic diseases. Many DM patients who are not obedient to the DM diet is known because most of them feel that they experience boredom in implementing the diet program due to the lack of variation of food given the family and the duration of DM.Penelitian aims to find out the level of non-compliance to the diet of patients with diabetes mellitus in Malang city. This research uses qualitative approach with research case research research strategy conducted in Malang City in July 2018. Participants in this researcher is mother who has Diabetes Mellitus disease which have been long and is undergoing DM diet program. The research was taken using 2 methods data collection, ie by interview and observation. The results of this study indicate that the researcher can know the level of non-compliance of patients to DM diet and family support that plays a role in maintaining the patient's diet, as well as patient obstacles when undergoing DM diet. The conclusion of this case study is the lack of variation of food given the family and the duration of suffering DM can lead to patients experiencing boredom in implementing the diet program.
