  • Background : Stroke is a disease with high mortality, morbidity, recurrence rate, and has become a serious health problem worldwide. One of the efforts to prevent the recurrence of stroke is by doing family assistance in providing stroke care. The function of the family is important in the prevention and control of the rehabilitation process of patient with stroke. Method : This study aims to know the relationship between families affective function with dietary motivation of patient with post-stroke. This study menggunkakan cross sectional design with a sample of 50 respondents in the Hospital Tk. II Dr. Soepraoen Malang. Sampling technique used is purposive sampling with analysis of the Spearman rank test data. Results: A total of 49 (98%) of respondents had a moderate level of affective function and 38 (76%) of respondents had a moderate level of motivation diet. Spearman rank test results showed sig. (2-tailed) of 0,178. Conclusion: There was not relationship between families affective function with dietary motivation of patient with post-stroke Tk. II Dr. Soepraoen Malang Hospital.
