  • Natural phenomena such as earthquakes are natural phenomena that often occur in Indonesia. Because the geographical position of Indonesia which is at the meeting of four tectonic plates. Due to frequent earthquakes, then in the planning of buildings, especially buildings that have a lot of levels, seismic force is one important factor that must be considered. Planning an earthquake resistant building structure can use several methods. In the construction project of training center building of Diponegoro University, originally only used Moment Mitigation Frame Structure only. As the final task material, the authors re-plan to design by using dual system method. Where a dual system is a combination of Moment Resisting Frame Structure with a shear wall. This dual system of planning is planned under the current applicable Indonesian National Standard, that is SNI 03 – 2847 – 2013 tentang persyaratan beton struktural untuk bangunan gedung dan SNI 03 – 1726 – 2012 tentang tata cara perencanaan ketahanan gempa untuk struktur gedung dan non gedung. Ased on the results of the re-planning, the beam size is 200/350 mm and 200/300 mm, 250/400 mm and 300/600 mm, 600/600 mm, and 350 mm shear wall. The drift value generated for the main direction portal with no shear wall is 39.067 mm, the main direction portal with the shear wall is 31.081 mm and the non-main direction portal is 27.054 mm with the drift ratio value in each direction of 0.00125, 0.00094 and 0.00086. With the value of drift ratio, it can be concluded that the building is in a stable state.
