- The lack of student empathy at this time can be seen from the behavior of students who appear like not caring about other friends while experiencing difficulties. This makes students withdraw from their environment because they feel that their peers do not accept themselves. In an effort to increase students' empathy towards peers, sociodrama interventions are given. The purpose of the study is to find out whether there are differences in the level of empathy for peers in elementary school students in SDN Mojolangu 2 Malang after being given intervention. This research is a quasi experiment using the control group pre-test and post-test design models. The research subjects were elementary school students aged 8-11 years as many as 28 students (14 students in the experimental group and 14 students in the control group). Data analysis using non-parametric (Wilcoxon) to determine differences in the level of subject empathy before and after the intervention. The research conducted showed the results of differences in the level of empathy after intervention (Z = -0.3218 and P = 0.001 <0.05) and stated significant. So it can be concluded that sociodrama can be used to increase empathy for peers in elementary students.
