- PT. Hanil Jaya Steel is a company engaged in manufacturing concrete steel. In the production process of S19 SNI Type Concrete Reinforcing Steel there are still defective products with the following criteria: defect bulges of 473 units or around 8.65%, line defects of 3488 units or around 63.82%, basin defects of 784 units or around 14.34%, and defects flat at 720 units or around 13.14%. To overcome a number of types of defects applied to the Define, Measure, Analyze, and Improve stages (DMAI). So that in the end it can be known the right action to overcome the type of product defect as described above. The recommended actions to overcome product defects are based on the value of RPN on the Improve stage. Where the highest RPN value is 80 with the shaking bearing failure mode then the proposed improvement is to do a briefing before installation and make a Standard Operation Procedure installation. Then for the highest RPN value then still with a value of 80 with the broken bearing failure mode, the proposed improvement is to use the right bearing mounting tool.
