  • Background: Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) is one of the cardiovascular diseases caused by the atherosclerotic plaques that clog the coronary arteries of the heart. In the presence of unstable atherosclerotic plaques in the coronary arteries, anticoagulant therapy is required to prevent the formation of thrombus due to the ruptured of atherosclerotic plaque. Aim: This study aims to know the pattern of anticoagulant drug use on patientswithacute myocardial infarction at inpatient care installation of Islamic Hospital Aisyiyah Malang, including the dose, route, frequency, related to laboratory data and patient clinic data. Methods: Observational and retrospective descriptive research based on medical records of acute myocardial infarction patients from January - June 2017 Results and Conclusions: Single anticoagulant used on 31 patients (100%). The single most use in 21 patient (58%) was Fondaparinux (1 x 2,5mg) SC. One of the anticoagulant switches use is Heparin (5000iu) IV Bolus to Heparin (800iu / h) IV Drip to Heparin (900iu / h) IV Drip in 1 patient (25%)
