  • Background:The previous studies indicated that ethanol extract Persea Americana leaves and ethanol extract Anacardiumoccidentalestem bark possess anti-bacterial activity. Objective : This study is to discover that anti-bacterial activity of the combination of ethanol extract of Persea Americana leaves and Anacardiumoccidentalestem bark towards Staphylococcus aureusand Escherichia coli. Method : The test on anti-bacterial activity used disk diffusion method by utilizing the ratio of the combination EDPA and EKBAO with different concentrations. The test on Staphylococcus aureusused concentrations 1 (7000 g : 10.000 g), 2 (3500 g : 10.000 g), and 3 (3500 g : 20.000 g). Meanwhile, the test on Escherichia coli used concentrations 1 (5000 g : 10.000 g), 2 (2500 g : 10.000 g), and 3 (2500 g : 20.000 g). Result and Conclusion : The test result using disk diffusion method on Staphylococcus aureuswas shown by the diameter of the inhibition zone on concentration 1 = 15,43 mm, 2 = 15,92 mm, and 3 = 16,92 mm. Meanwhile, Escherichia coli on concentration 1 = 13,5 mm, 2 = 13,27 mm, and 3 = 14,77 mm. It could be concluded that the highest average diameter of the inhibition zone was on concentration 3 for Staphylococcus aureusand Escherichia coli.
