- Cahaya Anak Negeri Foundation is a non-profit organization that empowering street children in Bekasi city. Created by Andi Suhandi and Nadiah Abidin, then formed Cahaya Anak Negeri Foundation, previously known as Sanggar Anak Matahari. The purpose of Cahaya Anak Negeri Foundation is for giving the welfare for all of street children in Bekasi city by providing formal and non-formal education of their own willingness and ability, for become qualified and independent person. This research aims to know the social empowerment model and the results of the empowerment for street children it conducted by Cahaya Anak Negeri Foundation. This study aims to determine the Social Empowerment Model conducted by Cahaya Anak Negeri Foundation is provide the power to street children. This research is descriptive qualitative with purposive technique. Techniques of data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Data validity technique uses internal validity test (credibility) especially source triangulation. The results of this study explain, that the Social Empowerment Model conducted by Cahaya Anak Negeri Foundation is provide the power to street children, supported by formal education is schools and non-formal education such as providing character building, training talents, outreach, mentoring and counseling, and some recreation for children. The results is very well, too many positive changes happen with the street children, for example they have a good behavior for living in around society.
