  • Background: Basketball games are a complex type of game technique and consist of a mixture of well-coordinated technical elements, so they can play well. Basic abilities of basketball game are catching the ball, throwing or pass ball, dribbling, shooting the ball into the opponent nets and this activity is usually done easily by almost all beginners. Vertical jumps are a major component in various sports and can also support the ability in other sports that are not the main components. To get a good value vertical jump then given the single leg hop training of plank combination. Research Objective: To know the influence of single leg hop of plank combination to increase vertical jump on basketball player Senior High School 9 Malang. Research Methodology: This study used quasi experimental method with one group pretest and posttest design. The sample consists of one group and was given two different exercises combined that was single leg hop of plank combination with vertical jump measurement using vertical jump test. The exercise was done for 4 weeks and 3 times a week. Result: average increase of vertical jump value before and after exercise tested using paired t-test. The average increase in single leg hop of plank combination training was 42.5 with p = 0,000 (p <0.05), then H0 was rejected and H1 accepted. Conclusion: There is the influence of single leg hop training on plank combination to increase vertical jump on basketball player SMA Negeri 9 Malang.
