  • Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is a technology to get the maximum power output of radiation fluctuations occurring when the sun or fluctuating temperature. By designing prototypes from miniature PV arrays using the firefly algorithm (FFA) and Perturb And Observe (P&O) that are applied to MPPT, it is expected to achieve optimum MPP global values with non-uniform conditions. In this study, FFA and P&O algorithms are used to optimize the output power of solar cells during shading conditions by increasing and decreasing the value of the duty cycle to obtain maximum power. In the use of FFA and P&O algorithms on uniform schemes that are proven in implementation, it is found that efficiency is 97.4% while in the 25% shading scheme, it is proven that implementation is found to be 97.7% efficient.
