- Software Define Network as arsiktektur network that separates the control and forwarding functions, so that network operators and administrators can configure the network in a simple and centrally between thousands of devices, software Define Network using a protocol called OpenFlow to be able to connect with other devices.Differrent with the model of network architecture which is currently used (traditional network) arguably still complicated because each device has a different configuration or control plane and data / forwarding plane embedded in the device itself. In this study, the comparison of Quality of Services (QoS) to network-based IPv6 and IPv4 Define Network Software was carried out. During the testing from the source node to the same destination node, a variety of background traffic ranging from 20 to 100 Mbps was supplied. The results obtained are the network QoS value of IPv4 Software Define Network better than IPv6, the latency delay value in IPv4 ranges from 0.09-0.99ms, and packet loss is 20% when there is 100Mbps background traffic on the IPv6 Define Network Software network..
