  • Background: Decreasing of HDL level occurs in the diabetes type II patient due to the occurrence of insulin resistance. Due to the occurrence of a paradigm from conventional treatment to medication-based herbs that involves many components working on some of the target (multicomponent work-target). Identified plants have the effect of antidiabetic and increasing HDL level is Mangifera indica and Abelmosschus esculentus. Objective: The research aims to know the effect of ethanol leaves extract Mangifera Indica and squeezed fruit Abelmoschus esculentus combination on effective dosage from that combination toward HDL level on Rattus norvegicus male induced diabetes. Method: This research uses post test only control group design by 24 Rattus norvegicus males divided in 6 groups, that are healthy control, negative control, positive control, and 3 treatment groups (P1, P2, and P3). Research is done for 30 days. HDL level is measured by using spectrophotometer semi-automatic analyzer. Obtained data is analyzed by using one way anova. Result and conclusion: The result shows that ethanol leaves extract Mangifera indica by dosage 125 mg / kgBB, 250 mg / kgBB, and 500 mg / kgBB also combined by squeezed fruit Abelmosschus esculentus 0,36ml/200g BB gives effect toward increasing HDLlevel on diabetes mice. Effective dosage to increase HDL level is in giving ethanol leaves extract Mangifera Indica by dosage 125 mg / kgBB and squeezed fruit Abelmosschus esculentus 0,36ml / 200g BB.
