Daftar Isi:
- A magnet is an object of a type of metal that has a magnetic field. The strength of the magnetic field as an alternative energy source is used as a magnetic motor where the magnetic motor utilizes the repulsive force of the magnet to produce a rotation. Magnets used in magnetic motors are barium ferrite permanent magnets which are widely produced because their raw materials are abundant and inexpensive and barium ferrite magnets are included in hard ferrite because they have a large saturation material and high chemical stability. The basic ingredients in making barium ferrite magnets are hematite (α-Fe2O3) which is added with additives, namely barium carbonate (BaCO3). In the magnetic motor, the magnetic strength is tested to find out how much the magnetic field strength is produced by the magnet so that the magnet can rotate optimally and rpm testing is also done where to find out how many turns are produced and how long the magnet motor rotates. At rpm testing there are variations in the number of magnets to be tested, namely 24.12, and 6 magnetic pieces. The results showed that variations in the amount of magnetism could affect the rotational speed and long time of rotation on the magnet motor. The minimum rpm rotation occurs at the number of magnetic chips 24 and the highest at 6 pieces, the highest time value on the number of magnets 24 and the minimum on the number of magnets 6.
