- Corrosion is one of damage caused by metal material. The results of metal welding cause the cracked, strains, depletions and environment factor. A36 is a kind of steel in which is used to make the ships. Thus, corrosion of the ship construction is caused by environment corrosively. The objective of this study was to find out the corrosion metal A36 relevance to FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) by concentrating the saline solution of NaCl 2,5% and 3,5%. The testing of corrosion used potentiodynamics of polarization by using 3-Electrode Potential Corrosion. Based on the results of polarization showed that the low corrosion in the saline solution of NaCl 2,5 % was in specimen 1 which was 0,76270879 mpy and the high corrosion in the saline solution of NaCl 3,5% which was in specimen 1 was 12,6003369 mpy. Mean while, in specimen 2 of the saline solution in NaCl 3,5% went down within a big current of corrosion. Those causes were influenced by the passivation in specimen that was tested, and also metal corroded could shape of a layer protection in the iron oxidation which caused the corrosion got low. Hence, the results of testing showed as a bigger of salinity, it could be as bigger of corrosion.
