- Backgroud : All pregnant women who checked their preganancy have to do health promotion and prevention of HIV transmission through HIV testing by test and counseling offered by health workers. When health workers offer HIV testing to all pregnant women who are conducting Antenatal carw (ANC), there are still many pregnant womens who have not taken HIV test. The aim of this study is to find out the relationship between motivation and willingness to take a HIV test. Method : The research design in this study is using a cross sectional research design. The population in this study is pregnant women who did ANC by using Accidental Sampling technique obtained samples of thirty four pregnant womens as a sample who received an offer of HIV testing by health workers in Ciptomulyo Health Center, Malang City. In addition, data retrieval used a questionnaire. While for the data analysis used Fisher Test by using SPSS of significance level α = (00,5). Result : In this study showed that twenty nine respondents (85.29%) who have high motivation, while for people who have low motivation were five respondents (14.71%). However, willingness to do HIV test found thirty two respondents (94.1%) did HIV test and two respondents (5.9%) did not took an HIV test. Fisher test showed that motivation was not related to the willingness to take HIV tests on pregnant women, with the results of the data analysis obtained p value 0.276 (p> 0.05). Conclusion : There was no correlation between motivation and willingness in taking HIV tests on pregnant women in the area of Ciptomulyo Public Health Center, Malang City.
