- Basically the function of television is the same as the function of other mass media (newspapers and radio broadcasts), namely giving information, educating, entertaining and persuading. The thing that was interesting to observe was how local television in this research study was Citra-TV Lamongan, positioned the function of the mass media of the community, in plain view most national and local television stations put forward the entertainment media function (to Entertain). How then with the other three media functions, the purpose of this study is to find out and understand how much frequency the appearance of mass media functions on the program "Pantura Corner" Citra TV Lamongan The results of this research are, based on the results of coding in the news program "Pantura Corner" in Citra TV Lamongan Episode 20-26 March 2018. Based on the results of the coding of the researcher, from the news program, it can be explained that there are two of the five categories of mass media functions contained in 3 episodes of the news program "Pantura Corner" on Citra TV Lamongan, with the following details, Information categorization in the three programs shows 10 scenes or 58.82%. Then in the second categorization that is Educating totaling 7 scenes or 41.18%.
