  • This research was conducted with duration of time for 14 days (two weeks), since January 2018 until February 2018 in Teluk Pangpang area, Wringin Putih Village, Banyuwangi. The purpose of this study to know the index of diversity, uniformity index and bivalvia domination index in the area of pond waste disposal in Teluk Pangpang area, Wringin Putih Village, Banyuwangi. The method used in this research is field observation method. The basic of sampling using purposive sampling method. The objects from this study are bivalves and some water quality indicators in the Teluk Pangpang area, Wringin Putih Village, Banyuwangi. The data have been collected from the research activities then analyzed related to knowing index of diversity, uniformity index and bivalvia domination index to determine the amount of bivalve diversity and the possibility of bivalve domination in the area. Analysis technique in this research is using quantitative to analyze some research variables. The result of this research shows that diversity index in Teluk Pangpang area is very low if seen from index value of diversity at station I (0,90) station II (0,92) station III (0,92), uniformity index value is stable if seen from the value of uniformity index at station I (0.53) station II (0.954) station III (0.54) and the value of dominance index of bivalves are low at station I (0.15) station II (0.15) station III (0.15). Based on some index values, it can be concluded that bivalves in Teluk Pangpang area, Muncar Sub-district, Banyuwangi have uniform distribution and not found dominant bivalve species. The purpose from this research is conducted to provide a source of information and reference for the community and government to maintain the sustainability of the function of mangrove forest in the Teluk Pangpang area.
