  • Information Technology (IT) is currently very important for companies, agencies or institutions. One of them is Rumah Sakit Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (RS UMM) which implement Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS). In organizing SIMRS, COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology) is a highly recommended framework for IT governance, it is mentioned in chapter four on governance in the attachment of Minister of Health Regulation No. 82 of 2013 on the implementation of SIMRS. Currently, UMM Hospital has not used COBIT for IT governance, especially in analyzing the maturity level of SIMRS that has been held. In this study, the authors measure the maturity level of SIMRS in UMM Hospital using IT process in COBIT 4.1 such as PO8 (managing quality), AI2 (obtaining and maintaining software application), AI3 (obtaining and maintaining technology infrastructure), AI5 (fulfilling source power IT), DS3 (managing performance and capacity) and DS5 (ensuring system security). In addition, the authors also analyze the gap (gap) between the current maturity level with the expected maturity level and provide appropriate recommendations. The result of maturity level of SIMRS UMM is currently at level three (defined) with an average value of 3.02 which means UMM SIMRS procedure in general has been standardized and documented. Based on these results, the authors provide recommendations referring to the COBIT framework in particular to achieve level four (managed and measurable) that the manager must monitor and measure the merits of SIMRS UMM and take action if there is an IT process that is not running effectively..
