- Prisoners tend to experience problems in resilience in order to adjust to a new environment. There are several factors influencing prisoner’s adjustment, one of wich is hardiness. This study aims at determining the correlation between hardiness and resilience on female prisoners. The method of this study was correlational quantitative by means of purposive sampling technique. The participants were 391 prisoners at Class II A Female Correctional Institution Malang. The Correlation Product Moment analysis found that coefficient (r) was 0.284 with significance (p) of 0.000. wich showed a positive correlation between hardiness and resilience.
