- This study was conducted in order to find out the pronunciation errors made by Chinese students at third semester of speaking class at University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The research used descriptive qualitative research as the design. The participants of this research consisted of 3 Chinese students from English Department of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Moreover, the data were collected by pronunciation test ( reading text). Based on the result of this research, it was found that the errors made 3 Chinese students were consonant 44.83%, errors in pronunciation vowel sound 35.63 % and errors in pronunciation diphthong sound 19.54%. Furthermore, the writer found that Chinese students may have problem in pronouncing English words because Chinese students speak English is hartd to understand. The Chinese students still pronounce English words with Chinese style (Chinese accent) and some of errors caused by the fact that many English words were new to them.
