HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN PERILAKU SWAMEDIKASI OBAT DIARE (Studi Terhadap Pasien di Beberapa Apotek Kecamatan Dau Kabupaten Malang)

- Introduction: Diarrhea is a condition characterized by changing shape and consistency stool softening until melted and the increase of the frequency of defecation more than usual.The treatment themselves or referred to by self medication is a part of a community effort of keeping health by themselves.Many of the factors underlying a person doing swamedikasi. Self medication is influenced by the level of knowledge and behaviour.The limitations of the knowledge society will remedy diarrhea and how their use in self medication can be the source of the occurrence of the fault treatment (medication error). Objective : To Prove there is a correlation of the level of knowledge and behavior of self medication diarrhea drug at some Pharmacies Kecamatan Dau, Malang. Research Methods: This research is an observational analytic approach to crosss sectional method where sampling is done by the method of accidental sampling and instrument that is used in the form of a detailed questionnaire. Research Results and Conclusions: The results of this study indicate as many patients who have good knowledge of diarrhea self medication 82% (82 people), good enough as many as 11% (11 people), and less good as much as 7% (7 persons). Patients who have a good behavior 66% (66 people) and not good behavior 34% (34 people). The results of the analysis show that there is no relationship between the level of knowledge and behavioral swamedikasi medicine diarrhea with r values of smaller than rtabel (0.132 < 0.199).
