- Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is Damage to structural or renal function for ≥ 3 months or decrease GFR <60 ml/min/1,73 m2. Decreased kidney function will cause disturbance of electrolyte balance and proteinuria cause fluid will move from intravascular to extravaskular resulting in edema. Goal: To know the pettern use of diuretics in patients with chronic kidney disease in regional public hospital Dr. Iskak of Tulungagung. Methods: This study is obsevational and retrospective with the presentation of the data on a descriptive in patients chronic kidney disease from July-September 2017 Result and Conclusion: The use of single diuretic therapy was 328 patients (98%) and the use of combination diuretic therapy in 5 patients (2%). The most common use of single diuretic therapy is Furosemide (1x40 mg) IV of 53 patients (16%). The most combined use of combination therapy was a combination of Furosemide (1x40 mg) IV with Spironolactone (1x25 mg) PO of 2 patients (40%). Diuretic therapy is the most widely used pattern of 7 patterns.
