- Photovoltaic farm is a series of photovoltaic modules (PV) that are arranged in series or parallel combination to get a certain amount of current and voltage. In the PV Farm series, the PV module follows the characteristics of each cell's resistance when exposed to sunlight radiation. With a relatively wide area, there will be a significant change in characteristics if the sun radiation which is about all PV modules is not uniform. This non-uniformity of solar radiation that hits PV farm is very likely to occur in daily operations. [1]. This study discusses the potential of PV as a renewable electric generator by using a buck converter type converter that functions as a step down voltage and to maximize the power produced by PV when the shading conditions are in the buck converter the firefly algorithm is planted. From the experiments that have been carried out, it is proven that buck converters that are built firefly algorithms are maximal in power supply in PV when the shading condition.
