  • Background: Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition whereby nerves hand depressed at the wrist it causing parastesia, numbness, tingling and weakness in muscles of the hands If this condition occurs for a long time it can cause muscle weakness in the hand. The tailors work for more than 8 hours and using a sewing machine for more 7 until 9 hours. Based on the previous study towards 47 tailors give the Tinnel test, Prayer test and Phalen’s test that are found 36 people get the symptom of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Purpose: To understand the the workload correlation towards risk of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) on tailors in Malang Method: This study uses Cross Sectional type that involves 47 respondents using total sampling. The instruments to collect the data are using questionnaire and specific test which contain tinnel test, palen test and prayer test Result: The result of Chi-Square data analysis, obtained p value = 0,012. With a signicant level of 0,05 based on the result test shown that p (0,12) < significant (α) (0,05). Of such declaration, it can be concluded that H1 is accepted it means, there is a correlation on workload towards risk of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) on tailors in Malang Conclusion: There is correlation on length of work towards risk of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) on tailors in Malang
