- The research aims to know the influence of the giving turmeric (Curcuma domestica val) in drinking water against the performance of broiler chickens. The research was carried out in February up to May 2018, which is located in the village of Lasem, Kecamataan sidayu, Gresik Regency. The material used in this research is a Day Old Chick (DOC) MB 202 Platinum produced by PT. Japfa Indonesia tbk was 1 day as many as 140 tail. Research using Randomized Complete Design (RAL) consists of 4 levels of treatment (U0, U1 = control = turmeric 4ml/liter of drinking water, U2 = turmeric 8ml/liter of drinking water, and U3 = saffron 12 ml/litre of drinking water) and repeat 5 times. The observed variables i.e. feed consumption, consumption of drinking water, the daily body weight increase, and feed conversion. The results showed that the addition of turmeric on the very real effect of drinking water (P < 0.01) against the consumption of drinking water, in contrast to real (P 0.05 >) against added feed consumption, body weight daily, and feed conversion.
