  • his research was conducted from March to May 2018 in Malang City, East Java. This study aims to determine the internal factors, external, and the development strategies on Temuvit traditional medicine. This research was done purposively and the purposive sampling was chosen with certain consideration. The data collection was done by using observation, interview, and questionnaire method. Data analysis methods was done by applying SWOT analysis. For evaluating these factors, the researcher used IFAS and EFAS matrices. Based on the research results analysis, it showed 1) The Strength (S): good product quality, good service, good capital ability, strategic location, good Temuvit benefits, attractive product packaging, clear source of information. 2) The Weakness (W): lack of promotion, limited transportation, lack of distribution network, unknown company name, unknown product, lack of socialization. 3) The Opportunities (O): local product competition, number of livestock shops, increasing livestock population, abundant of the raw materials, technological advances. 4) The Threat (T): similar business competition, expensive product price, competitors offer cheaper price, the product is still new in Malang City, lack of trust from breeder. The Termuvit SWOT analysis results showed in the Quadrant II Diversification strategy, with strengths threats strategy. The main types of strategies that can be applied are: 1) plot demontration, 2) adding more sub agents.
