- This research aims to know the concept and the effectiveness of utilization of zakat on productive economic empowerment mustahik performed by BAZNAS Gresik Regency This research uses a mixed approach (mixed methods) and the subject of research is the mustahik listed in the livestock program rolling, head of the Office of the BAZNAS, and the head of the Division Gresik empowerment BAZNAS Gresik. Zakah serves as one source of socio-economic Fund for Muslims. This means that the utilization of zakat managed not limited to only certain activities (consumptive activities), but can also be utilized for economic activities, such as the purpose of the distribution and utilization of zakat i.e. poverty alleviation and unemployment by giving zakaah to those who need productive as venture capital. The accuracy of the funds given to the mustahik needs to be done to find out the level of achievement of success efektivtas utilization of zakat productive done BAZNAS Gresik, while seeing increased or whether the level of spirituality than mustahiq the recipient Charity Fund. Data collection was done through a detailed questionnaire, observation, interviews, and documentation. While data analysis using model CIBEST and using the paired t test data analysis techniques using then test the validity and reabilitas. The research results showed that the concept of empowerment in the productive utilization of zakat is the concept of development where the concept put forward by extracting potential masyarakatmenunjukan the existence of a significant increase between before the existence of the program and after the program of productive utilization of zakat in economic empowerment mustahik performed by BAZNAS Gresik Rp. 1.202.446 rose to Rp. 1.699.042.
