  • Mass media is an important tool where many people get information there. Television is one of the mass media. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach that aims to explore or build a prosition or explain the meaning behind reality. In knowing the meaning of each informant, researchers using the basic substance of the study receptions. The study of receptions is a study that reveals the meaning in which the meaning of the researcher's findings is achieved through the meaning of the media texts by the audience under study. Based on the results of data processing with research informants, the conclusion obtained after doing this research is the audience gives different meanings on each impression. Both from dominant position, negotiation, and opposition. As an active audience they can interpret what is in the media. Understanding and interpretation formed by informants is based on their experience and social background in watching the event. But in intrepert event informants more in dominant position, because the event is seen entertaining and provide information.
