  • The development of the world of technology and information, the use of sophisticated electronics with large numbers is always associated with large-scale electrical power. In order to be able to regulate better electricity usage at home, an electronic device is needed that can monitor the use of electrical energy in devices that are considered quite wasteful by utilizing a microcontroller. The study aims to monitor the cost of electricity use by using the help of a Raspberry Pi microcontroller which will be monitored via SMS. In this study can help monitor the use of electricity. If the cost of using electricity exceeds the set point, the user will receive a warning in the form of an SMS. The sensor used in this study is the ina219 sensor, because this sensor has been supported by i2c so that this device can be connected to raspberry pi devices. From the results of the research that has been done, the error obtained after comparison with the amperemeter is 16.67%.
